A guided tour of Oslo’s world-class
maritime museums where you will see original Viking
ships and Thor Heyerdahl’s Kon-Tiki among other
nautical treasures. Your guide will be Jarle Bjørklund,
former curator of the Oslo Maritime Museum and noted
authority on Norwegian wooden boat traditions.
A tour of southern Norwegian wooden
boat building centers, such as Risør and Grimstad.
You’ll visit trebåtbyggere (wooden boat
builders) and sail lofts where you’ll see living
wood converted to enduring works of art.
